Departure was the song with the most revisions to structure on the album. Originally a more straightforward and heavy song, it morphed into one of the more dynamic, emotional, and reflective songs on the album. It's about a character in the last moments of his life as he begins his journey into the bleak, expansive void of the next life. One of the most prominent aspects of this song is the heavy use of piano and strings.
We released a lyric video for this song earlier in 2019. Thanks to Cloud Music Typography for the kickass work!
I dig this album so much, definitely a keeper. Subtly and masterfully mixing death metal subgenres, backed with an over the top production. They're true professionals. Can't wait for their next release! doive
Another seamless blend of extreme genres from Stortregn. Killer riffs, tasty basslines, and lots of fun tech influences in the composition and instrumentation make this an absolute banger front to back. Facepalming Panda
